FIWE Semi-Automatic Fiber Analyzers

The FIWE series fiber analyzers provide fast and reliable crude, neutral, and acid detergent fiber determination following the Weende and Van Soest official methods. These analyzers use preheated reagents and eliminate sample transfer, reducing the risk of sample loss and improving accuracy.

  • Weende metod – koristi se za određivanje sirovih vlakana (CF), još uvek jedan od najstarijih i najpouzdanijih analitičkih postupaka.
  • Neutralna deterdžentska vlakna (NDF) – metoda Van Soest-a, najčešće korišćena za analizu vlakana u stočnoj hrani.
  • Kisela deterdžentska vlakna (ADF) – uključuju celulozu, lignin i promenljive količine ksilana.
  • Kisela deterdžentska ligninska vlakna (ADL) – koristi se za detaljno odvajanje vlakana prema modifikaciji Weende metode.

Reliable fiber analysis based on official methods

FIWE allows simultaneous analysis of multiple samples, with precisely controlled boiling, rinsing, and filtration steps. Thanks to the glass crucibles, samples remain in the same vessel throughout the entire analytical process, preventing any potential sample loss.

With the RC2 hot plate (included in the system), reagents can be preheated and poured directly into the system, enabling faster and more efficient analysis.

High reproducibility and multiple sample extraction

The FIWE series features a high-efficiency heating system, ensuring rapid sample and reagent heating. After the addition of the second reagent, the heating element enables rapid re-heating of the solution, optimizing time and increasing efficiency.

FIWE analyzers significantly reduce analysis time – while manual procedures require more than six hours, FIWE reduces the process to only two hours, increasing laboratory productivity.

FIWE analyzers allow direct fat extraction using the COEX Cold Extractor, before fiber analysis.

The defatted sample remains in the same glass crucible and is directly transferred into the FIWE analyzer, eliminating the possibility of errors due to sample transfer and improving analytical accuracy.
