The KS 1000 Scrubber prevents exposure to corrosive and toxic gases through a two-step neutralization process:

Dilution: Gases are first passed through a water solution, where they dissolve, including part of the sulfur dioxide (SO₂) produced during digestion.
Neutralization: In the left glass tank, gases react with a sodium hydroxide solution, ensuring maximum removal efficiency.

For specific applications, the KS 1000 Scrubber can be equipped with an optional activated carbon filter to absorb residual odors.
